We are official sworn translators: legally valid translations worldwide

Do you need to submit official documents abroad?, validate your academic qualifications?, apply for citizenship, residency or a job in another country?

These are some of the most common situations where a sworn (certified) translation is required. If this is your first time dealing with administrative procedures of this kind, don’t worry — at Olyusei, we guide you through the process and make it simple and stress-free.

When do you need a sworn translation?

Distribution of types of sworn translation

You need a sworn translation when official documents must be submitted to public authorities or institutions in another country and those authorities require an officially certified translation.

 A sworn translation:

  • Has legal validity on its own, when submitted together with the original document
  • Is signed, stamped and certified by an official sworn translator
  • Certifies that the translation is faithful and complete

This is a formal administrative process recognised internationally.

Most common sworn translations in Spain

Based on our experience, the most frequently requested sworn translations are:

  • 27% Academic recognition: diplomas, transcripts, degrees, CVs
  • 33% Corporate documents: articles of association, annual accounts, balance sheets, contracts, commercial register certificates, product certificates
  • 35% Personal documents: birth certificates, criminal records, marriage and divorce certificates, death certificates, wills, adoption records, medical certificates
  • 5%: Other documents: tax returns, bank certificates, mortgage documents

At Olyusei, we translate more than 5,000 sworn documents every year. We are used to tight deadlines and urgent requests.

Digital sworn translations: receive your certified translation online

Traditionally, sworn translations are delivered on paper, stamped and signed by the sworn translator, either:

  • Collected in person
  • Sent by registered post or courier

Since 2022, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs allows digitally signed sworn translations. These:

  • Can be submitted online
  • Do not need to be printed
  • Can be printed multiple times if required

At Olyusei, many clients choose both options: a hard copy with original stamps and a digitally signed version.

We delivered:

  • Sworn translations on paper
  • Correct presentation of originals and copies

Result: a smooth and fast administrative process, with no rejections.
